Local Charity benefits from growth of Jaguar Land Rover Halewood

Local charity, Partnership for Learning is one of the first organisations to benefit from the recent success announced by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) due to the increasing demand for the car manufacturer’s awarding winning Range Rover Evoque.

Over a three month period, Partnership for Learning Charity will welcome approximately 5000 people through its doors in Speke as part of JLR’s recruitment drive to increase their Halewood workforce by 1000 to cater for the global demand for the Land Rover Freelander 2 and the recently launched Range Rover Evoque.

The charity offers the ideal venue for JLR to conduct this project, offering 30 different purpose built training rooms which include a 150 seat theatre and a workshop big enough to house the body shell of an Evoque, which potential employees will be trained on.

The Chair of the Charity Maureen Leatherbarrow commented:

“We are so pleased to welcome Jaguar Land Rover and their new recruits to Partnership for Learning Charity Training Conference Centre. We are the only facility of this kind who can accommodate such a project and we are proud to be part of JLR’s success on Merseyside. The income generated from this will help our charity to deliver training and employment skills to people in South Liverpool and Knowsley which will hopefully encourage further investors to the area in future.”

The event took place over a full day in the Theatre of Partnership for Learning Charity with lunch and refreshments served on the adjacent Mezzanine and break out rooms.

Staff were invited to the event from Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside to learn about the organisation’s latest developments and share experiences about delivering services that are crucial to vulnerable people and communities in the region and further afield.

Client Testimonial:

‘We have used Partnership for Learning Charity for our Area Conference for the past several years.  The venue is ideal with a large theatre, break-out rooms and separate areas for refreshments and lunch.  The staff are always very helpful and accommodating leading up to the event and nothing is ever too much trouble.  The event runs perfectly every year with people on hand from Partnership for Learning Charity to assist us with every need.  The food is faultless and plentiful.

Thank you to all the staff who assisted on our event this year and we look forward to returning next year.’
