To help keep staff and youth workers up to date with the latest developments and accreditations Uk Youth hold a series of training events at regional locations throughout the country.

Parklands School Wins the Great Enterprise Challenge at the Global Entrepreneur Congress Liverpool

Parklands High School flew the flag for enterprising secondary schools in the area at the GEC conference when they took first prize in the ‘Great Enterprise Challenge’ which was awarded by Sir Richard Branson at St Georges Hall yesterday 13th March.

The aim of the competition was to allow a team of up to six pupils from each school an opportunity to create a business enterprise that is sustainable, eco-friendly, and socially responsible.

Parklands School, as the winners of the competition will receive funding to support enterprise development at the school and a trip to Washington DC for the pupils involved in the winning business pitch.

Students from the winning team will be attending the South Liverpool Business (SLB) networking meeting here at Partnership for Learning Charity on Thursday 29th March to tell networkers about their achievements and their plans for the future.

Congratulations also to Rice Lane Junior School who were winners of the primary school category.
